About the treatment

What is Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel uses a carefully chosen professional exfoliating solution to dissolve dull, damaged surface cells. As your skin renews, it looks brighter, smoother and more even, and your skincare can work more effectively.

Peels come in different strengths. Lobna selects the type and strength for your skin, your goals and the time of year, starting gently if you're new to peels. Most clients experience light flaking for a few days rather than dramatic peeling.

FAQ

Chemical Peel: common questions

Can't find your answer? Call or text (818) 835-1464 and Lobna will be happy to help.

Will my skin visibly peel?

With lighter peels, most people get mild flaking rather than sheets of peeling. Stronger peels can peel more, and Lobna will explain what to expect before you start.

Does a chemical peel hurt?

You'll usually feel tingling or warmth for a few minutes while the peel is on. It's checked and adjusted throughout.

How many peels do I need?

One peel gives a nice refresh. For pigmentation or acne, a series of 3 to 6 peels a few weeks apart gives the best results.

Who should not get a chemical peel?

Peels aren't recommended during pregnancy, with active cold sores, sunburn, broken skin, or after recent isotretinoin use. Let us know if you use prescription skincare.

When is the best time of year for a peel?

Peels can be done year-round with good sun protection, though many people prefer cooler months for stronger peels.

Do I need a consultation first?

Your first visit always starts with a short consultation. Lobna looks at your skin, asks about your health, medications and goals, and confirms the treatment is right for you before anything begins. If it isn't the best fit, she'll suggest something that is.
